Sioux Falls Wedding Dj’s Pinnacle Productions Recap of Willems Wedding

Posted on March 26, 2012 in Wedding Dance | No Comments

This past weekend we were honored to work with Meghan and Ryan Willems in Worthington MN at the beautiful Hickory Lodge. Their family and friends enjoyed great food, a beautiful room complete with white chair colors accented with their favorite shade of purple which complimented their chosen palate.

Ashley and the staff from the Hickory Lodge were spot on with delicious food (3 hot meat choices), and were swift in converting the room from dinner to dancing. This is a VERY important detail in wedding planning to make sure guests don’t get bored and leave the reception before the party starts! Kudos to the staff for allowing this smooth transition.

The dance started with the newlyweds sharing the floor with Ben Fold’s The Luckiest. A beautiful song that is showing up in more and more of our weddings. After the formals the dance was poppin’! We fielded several requests from all ages and the highlight was when the brides dad Scott requested “Teach me how to Dougie” by Cali Swag Disctrict and showcased his “Mad Skills” showing the kids just how to get down and do the dougie right!

We here at Pinnacle Productions Sound and Lighting Design want to congratulate Ryan and Meghan and their families for this beautiful union! We wish you nothing but the very best as you begin this new chapter in your lives!

Recently we here at Pinnacle were asked to help an exceptional group of high school students plan their annual statewide convention at the Holiday Inn in Sioux Falls. This organization prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe, Deca.

For over 60 years DECA has reached tens of millions of students help develop skills necessary for post secondary education that translates well into the workforce and promotes outstanding leadership abilities as well.

Lighting and Video for a Great Organization

At the state convention the members were judged in several categories and compete for a spot in Salt Lake City at the Deca National Convention. Keynote speaker Leona Tran addressed the students and described how a 20 year old used the lessons she learned in Deca and the relationships built to follow her dream of publishing her very own online fashion magazine.

We worked with the local deca organization to integrate video, audio, and lighting design to help make their awards banquet something they will never forget. We were honored to work with this years officers and their advisor to help make this event something memorable for the students and we wish the finalists all the best at Nationals!

Kevin and Ashley Verdoes Wedding in Ghent MN

Great receptions don’t just happen. Great wedding receptions start with an amazing couple and their “Love Story”. You’ld be hard pressed to find a couple who’s love story approaches the magnitude of Kevin and Ashley Verdoes. This beautiful couple tied the knot on March 10th, 2012 with their wedding celebration held in Ghent MN at KB’s Ballroom with 400 of their closest friends and family.

A great wedding reception includes laughter, tears, and unforgettable moments. This couple enjoyed all this and much more. The evening started with a rousing bridal party introduction complete with Light Up glasses on the bridal party, fist pumps, and some down right sweet dance moves. Greg (the brides father) gave an emotional, tear inducing, blessing straight from the heart that set the tone for the beginning.

After a great meal, it was time for the traditional toasts. The bridesmaids and groomsmen all gave some advice, comical relief, and an insight to the evenings celebrities but were overshadowed by out maid of honor and our best man. The brides sister and maid of honor Kelsie gave an emotional recount of their “early days” and shared her love and respect for the couple. Best man Kyle did a well prepared speech about the grooms unselfishness and ability to help lead his family after an accident that led him home to take care of the family farm. There were smiles, sobs, and alot of love evoked from the speeches.

After the dinner was finished we tore down several tables and chairs and made room for the couples first dances, formal dances, and open dancing for their guests. To say the dance floor was PACKED would be an understatement! Musical “suggestions” were broad and represented everyone from the very young to the older generations as well. From the dollar dance to the bouquet toss, there was excitement, energy, and ecstatic party goers who partied until the VERY end of the night!
